Since 1988, I have worked as a teacher, trainer and small business consultant, mainly in the Southeastern Massachusetts region.

My initial work was with Raytheon Corporation as a financial analyst at the Submarine Signal Division in Portsmouth, RI where I was selected to participate in their two year Financial Management Development Program. Later, I worked for the same company in the Microwave and Powertube Division in Quincy, MA as a group leader in Budgets and Planning. This initial work provided me with a solid foundation in budgeting, financial management and helped develop my computer skills, especially related to documenting and tracking complex projects on spreadsheets.

Since 1993, I have served as Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Business Department at Cape Cod Community College. I have also taught for Bristol Community College and Western New England College. I am currently teaching courses in accounting, entrepreneurship and general business on an adjunct basis for the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Suffolk University.

Over the past decade, I've worked with my colleagues at Cape Cod Community College and with others in the community to develop training programs, seminars, new entrepreneurship courses, an Entrepreneurship Club, an evening refreshment program for the college, and a business plan competition. Much of my work finds its roots in graduate education experiences at Babson College, where I was a co-winner in the Douglass Business Plan Competition and where I continue to hold close ties and receive much support. For example, each year I try to participate in the Babson Fellows Program and attend their Symposium on Entrepreneurial Education (SEE).

I partner with many organizations in our region such as the college's Workforce Education Resource Center (WERC), the Chambers of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Lower Cape Community Development Corp, (LCCDC) to help provide support those aspiring to form new ventures in our region. In addition to the entrepreneurial support organizations mentioned above, I work with associates such as local website developers, promotional material designers, accountants and bankers in order to form the optimal team to help meet my particular client's needs.

While I may ultimately involve other individuals from organizations such as those listed above, be assured that I will always be closely involved from the initial research and strategic assessment to the final completion of your business plan or project. All plans are custom solutions-I don't make use of "canned" programs or business plan templates often employed by others.
